Trump Appoints Wedding Planner To Run HUD’s New York Programs

We’re dead serious.

Trump just appointed his son’s wedding planner to run HUD’s Region II, which covers all of New York and New Jersey. In her new role, Lynne Patton will oversee $49 billion dollars in taxpayer money.  Coming into the position with no housing policy experience, Patton will also serve as Senior Advisor to Secretary Carson, who also has no housing policy or government experience.

Patton began working for the Trumps as an event planner in 2009, and in that same year, she became vice president at the Eric Trump Foundation. Forbes recently reported that the foundation funneled around $1.2 million into Trump family businesses from charity funds raised for children with cancer.
