Infamous “Sharia Law Mayor” Joins Trump Admin

Beth Van Duyne, the mayor of Irving, Texas, took to Facebook to announce her appointment as Regional Administrator for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Southwest Region VI.

Van Duyne gained national prominence when she suggested that radical Muslims were imposing Sharia Law and added, “Our nation cannot be so overly sensitive in defending other cultures that we stop protecting our own.”

Duyne’s stance of intolerance coupled with Secretary Carson’s lack of government experience is deeply troubling to the future of affordable and fair housing.
